Description

Alaska Northstar Resources, LLC. (ANR) is seeking a Project Control Analyst to join our team. This role involves daily interactions with Program and Project Management, financial team, accounting team, and Senior Management. The successful candidate will be tasked with budget monitoring, financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and compliance, ensuring the efficient execution of our projects within the allocated budget. A strong background in financial analysis and project management is required.

Responsibilities are to include, but not be limited to:

• Monitor and track project budgets, expenses, and financial performance for multiple projects
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure project financials align with goals and objectives.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and contract requirements.
• Assist in the development of financial models and projections.
• Provide financial insights and support to project teams.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Assisting PMs with labor and expense forecasts to include costs and revenue projections.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, project control, or related roles.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Experience working with government agencies or on government contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Capable of working in a geographically dispersed team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Skilled in using digital collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of government contracting and regulations (e.g., FAR, DFAR) is a plus.
• Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with Unanet GovCon ERP.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Familiarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
