Job Type Full-time Description

Alaska Northstar Resources is currently seeking qualified candidates for a DevOps Expert III to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award with an estimated start around mid-July, 2024.

This remote position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Builds, scripts, tests, and deploys Infrastructure as Code and cloud native API commands via automation/orchestration using tools such as JSON, Ansible, DSL, Python, Jenkins, Chef, and Terraform.
• Writes IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services (Amazon Web Services [AWS] Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, Azure App Services).
• Provides cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.
• Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of IaC when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of IaC intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Works within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Candidate must be US Citizen
• Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
• Candidate must have Security+ CE or other applicable 8570 IAT Level II Certification
• Candidate must have at least 15 years of related experience in information technology to include Cloud Services.
• Candidate must have experience with AWS ECS Fargate/Terraform Containerized Atlassian Data Center HA Solution (IaC) using AWS PaaS VPC (CloudOne).
• Candidate must have Kubernetes experience

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience with DoD/FedRamp Implementations - Cybersecurity, STIGs, Zero Trust Architecture, NGINX, Keycloak, Terraform, Lambda, PostgreSQL, Git, ELK Stack
• Use of Global Content Delivery Service (GCDS)
• Atlassian Clustered Implementations

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.

Salary Description $160,000- $190,000
