Alaska Northstar Resources (ANR) is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer III with solid experience in both development and operations, particularly in AWS, to join our team in supporting our DoD customer. This is a fully remote role and the duties and responsibilities are below, but not limited to:

• Builds, scripts, tests, and deploys Infrastructure as Code and cloud native API commands via automation/orchestration using tools such as JSON, Ansible, DSL, Python, Jenkins, Chef, and Terraform.
• Writes IaC for both cloud native service deployment and for hosted application deployment to cloud services (AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS Lambda, Azure App Services).
• Provides cloud service expertise to cloud-deployed applications, assisting application developers with integrating application-specific components into available cloud services.
• Prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of IaC when necessary, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of IaC intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls.
• Works within Agile SDLC framework to include performing work activity within two- to three-week sprints, participating in daily scrums, and utilizing sprint tracking software to track and communicate individual work activity to stakeholders.

Requirements

Minimum Candidate Requirements

Candidate must be US Citizen

Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.

Candidate must have Security+ CE or other applicable 8570 IAT Level II Certification

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Candidate must have 15+ years of general experience in IT (system administration, scripting, software development, etc)
• Candidate must have 5+ years specific experience with the following:
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) to include service deployment, management, and troubleshooting
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Daily hands-on professional work experience with deploying and maintaining Atlassian products through IAC.
• Daily hands-on professional work experience with AWS and/or Azure environments.
• Daily hands-on professional work experience with creation of Infrastructure as Code for automation/orchestration within AWS.
• Daily hands-on professional work experience with CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Code Pipeline, GitLab, Git/SCM.
• Daily hands-on professional work experience with automation/orchestration tooling: Terraform
• Daily hands-on professional work experience with Kubernetes

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience supporting DoD government (Cloud One).

Work Environment

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.

The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Description $160,000- $190,000
