Army Installation Management Command Assistant Facility Manager (Fitness) NF-03 in Monterey County, California

Summary This position is located at NAF Support Division Presidio of Monterey, CA. Responsibilities Assists Fitness Facility Manger in overall management and operation of fitness facility. Leads and supervises the operation during second shift of program operations and in the absence of the Fitness Manager. Assists with the scheduling and outreach of organizational units at the facility. Submits recommendations for budgetary and manpower requirements. Assists in the development and reviews specifications for instructors and other contracts. Oversees facility cleanliness contracts and standard operating procedures. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance as appropriate. Instructs customers and monitors proper usage of equipment, as needed. Assists with the reviews of directives from higher levels of authority and prepares implementing SOPs. Assists in the preparation of MWR and DOD Baseline Standards data call reports. Assists in providing fitness facility tours for VIP. Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair. Assists with recommendations for the purchase/construction of equipment and facilities. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualification Requirements: Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to carry-out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Highly Desirable: Candidates who possess a combination of education (an undergraduate in related fields such as physical education or kinesiology) and work experience as identified above. Possession of a nationally identified Basic Fitness Trainer Certification. You will be rated based solely off of the information provided within your resume. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
