Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Monterey, California

Description We are in search of a meticulous and organized Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Monterey, California. The successful candidate will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and reconciling bank statements. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic industry and contribute to the financial efficiency of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process financial data to prepare customer credit applications.

• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accuracy.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and follow up on delinquent payments.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.

• Manage accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Utilize accounting software systems to process financial transactions.

• Use Microsoft Office Suites, especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, to manage, organize, and analyze data.

• Perform billing functions, ensuring all bills are accounted for and paid on time.

• Collaborate with various team members to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Adopt a flexible approach to accommodate the evolving needs of the start-up environment. Requirements • Must possess at least 5 years of experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a plus

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook are necessary

• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions is essential

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is expected

• Experience in performing Billing Functions is required

• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner

• Must have strong work ethics
