Providence Principal Data Engineer in Montana

Description

This role will be 95% remote, but may require travel for business related meetings. We are currently unable to hire in the following states: CO, PA, NY, HI, MA and OH.

The Principal Directory Engineer position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Infrastructure Engineering. The Principal Directory Engineer is responsible for establishing the systems and processes required to define, implement, and maintain optimal configuration of the Directory Services environment at Providence Health Plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent educ/experience.

  • 10 or more years - Experience managing an environment of 4,000+ distributed client/server systems with an enterprise environment.

  • 6 years - Systems integration and engineering experience, with a focus on information security technology development, support, and administration.

  • 10 or more years - Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Active Director Sites and Services, DNS, and Active Directory Domains and Trusts.

  • 8 years - Hands-on experience with Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM)

  • Experience with Directory Services (LDAP/AD/EntraID/Kerberos/NTLM) and thorough knowledge of client/server management platforms such as Microsoft Group Policy and Intune.

  • Experience with Group and Conditional Access Policies such as applying Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC), Attribute-Based

  • Access Control (ABAC) and Least Privileged concepts to delegated resources and applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent educ/experience.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft AZURE, O365 Enterprise, PowerShell, Intune are strongly preferred or equivalent experience in using/ supporting the tools upon hire.

  • Working experience with VMWare vSphere, VMWare Horizon View, VMWare DEM/UEM and VMWare Aria.

  • SQL DB and SQL Reporting service experience with focus on executive ready reporting.
