Your Challenge:

Curtiss-Wright is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our finance team on a temporary, full-time basis. The AP/AR Clerk will be responsible for supporting the financial operations by managing the daily activities of the accounts payable and receivable processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure proper approvals.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and records.

  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and comply with company policies.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate and send out invoices to customers.

  • Record and reconcile customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Assist in resolving customer billing issues and disputes.

  • Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports and statements.

General Accounting Support:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

  • Support audits and compliance activities as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the finance manager.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience as an AP/AR Clerk or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Knowledge:

Accounting Software:

  • Experience with Made2Manage ERP system is preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.

  • Competency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for communication and documentation.

Financial Systems:

  • Understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

  • Familiarity with electronic payment systems and bank reconciliation processes.

Data Management:

  • Ability to manage and maintain large volumes of financial data accurately and efficiently.

  • Experience with data entry, data validation, and error resolution in financial records.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
