The Security, Fire & Loss Prevention Director plays a crucial role in minimizing losses for a company by identifying and addressing potential threats. Their main responsibility is to develop, oversee and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures in order to prevent fraud, theft, and other instances of loss.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

• Manage third party security contracts for each facility

• Review and update existing security policies and procedures to improve loss prevention measures

• Monitor and investigate any suspicious activities or incidents of theft and report findings to management

• Train leaders & employees on security policies and procedures and provide guidance on how to minimize risks

• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies in investigating and prosecuting incidents of theft and fraud

• Conduct onsite facility analysis and recurrent policy review.

• Lead the team by providing both strategic direction and hands-on guidance to team members in handling effectively related issues.

• Supervise the implementation of new technologies and business processes to improve efficiency

• Assist with Training Facilities on Medical Treatment and equipment. Active shooter response etc.

• Build, lead, manage, and motivate teams in a dynamic, rapidly evolving, and cross-functional environment that is centered around the use of people, process, and technology to ensure life-safety, security and resiliency at all corporate sites and levels.

• Monitoring and tracking key performance across the board

• Develop and maintain security-services performance metrics and related reports.

• Assist front line Supervisors with operations as warranted.

• Develop and manage fire safety plans that take care of specific fire and life safety systems.

• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of weakness in the company's security programs/system

• Ensure that all fire and safety equipment in an establishment are in good shape always

• Make sure that there are well-developed plans for easy evacuation of people in a building in the case of a fire outbreak

• Conduct fire safety checks from time to time

• Enforce safety codes and regulations/guidelines within a particular organization

• Conduct training for general fire safety rules and procedures

• Address any form of violation of safety codes within the organization

Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field or equivalent experience

Experience Required

  • 3+ years of experience in loss prevention, security management, or law enforcement

  • Experience managing processes and strategic programs

  • Experience in policy and procedure development

  • Experience in fire safety management

Preferred Experience

  • EMT or acceptable EMS credentials approved by ATI Management

  • Experience with various access control platforms, video management systems and incident management applications/software

Certification and Licensing Requirements

  • Act 235 Certification (Lethal Weapons Training – Carry while on duty)

  • Instructor Certifications to teach CPR-AED, First Aid, Advanced Bleed, Active Shooter (AVERT)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities typically required to perform the essential functions of this job.

Knowledge of:

  • Strong knowledge of security policies, procedures, and best practices

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.

Skilled in:

  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presenting)

  • Excellent leadership & interpersonal skills with the ability to train and influence employees

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.

Ability to:

  • Ability to successfully balance multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with and through others to achieved desired results.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems effectively and timely thru the implementation of long-term solutions.
