[General Summary:]{.underline}
Under the supervision of the Finance, Administration & Education Director, administers vision and hearing tests to school and preschool children from age three to eighteen years of age. Activities require volume testing, isolating subnormal results, retesting, accurate recording of results, and notification of teachers and other professionals. Documents results for children tested, follows up with parents of children who have failed vision or hearing tests, and refers to other providers for further testing.

Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
Experience: Six months of experience working with children.
Licenses and Certificates: Must possess a valid driver's license. Must meet requirements Michigan Department of Health and Human Services TAP and TOP Review after approved training courses.
Other Requirements:
- Completion of approved training courses for a Hearing and Vision Technician by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services within one year of employment.
- Attend a Michigan Department of Health and Human Services approved skills workshop every other year.
