JOB OVERVIEW:
The Director of Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs is responsible for implementing and overseeing the Corporate Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs (FSQRA) function of VDF/FC. This includes Quality training and policy (SOP\'s, SSOP\'s etc), supplier/co-manufacturing quality, administrative regulatory support, internal audit program, and all product integrity (Organic, Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO, etc.) programs
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide people leadership and development to the greater quality team
Oversee supplier and co-manufacturing approval programs and all IP (Organic, Kosher, Halal, Non-GMO, etc.) programs.
Establish Supplier/co-manufacturing compliant tracking and KPI\'s/scorecards - bias for continuous improvement and partnering with others.
Establish working partnerships and collaboration opportunities with internal stakeholders such as Procurement, Ops, Product line, etc, to ensure success.
Responsible for Quality and Food Safety training for the company.
Drive high impact supplier/co-manufacturing and warehouse audit program.
Responsible for overall policy governance including creating and implementing best in-class policies, procedures and SOP\'s.
Ensure all FSMA, FSVP, GMP, and BRC requirements are met.
Partner with Chief Quality Officer and QLT to develop goal list and Metrics.
Oversee best in-class regulatory compliance programs for the company
Support special projects as assigned.
Lead the utilization of Trace Gains program.
JOB EXPERIENCE:
10+ years of quality related leadership experience within the food processing or similar industry
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Previous experience working in food processing or related industry.
Well versed in FDA regulations for a food plant- CFR 110 and 111
Expertise in FSMA, FSVP, as well as international regulatory knowledge
Quality experience working with Organic, Halal, NGMOPV, and Kosher products
Experience preparing 3rd party and FDA audits
Knowledge of HAACP
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience leading and developing people
EDUCATION:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Science or closely related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sit and use a computer for a long period of time.
Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents.
Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, hand-written forms, and printed on paper.
Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone/computer

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typically works remote in an indoor office environment. Visits or meetings to the production facility may be occasionally required.

Expected Pay Range: \$150,000/year-\$194,000/year, exempt
Bonus: Th s role may further qualify for supplemental compensation in the form of bonus and incentive programs, contingent upon achieving pre-established individual and company performance metrics.
