Would you like to be involved in ground-breaking CAE technology? Join our team as an Application Engineer and play a vital role in shaping the future of engineering analysis with Simcenter STAR-CCM+. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals like you to provide technical advice and assistance in all aspects of engineering analysis to our clients using Simcenter STAR-CCM+.

This position is an opportunity to be at the forefront of companies’ innovative usage of simulation in industrial and research environments. You will be operating in various sectors, such as Energy, Automotive, Aerospace, Process and Marine, in application areas such as aerodynamics, thermal management, fluid structure interaction, combustion, multiphase flows, electromagnetism and more.

You will be based in our office in Gothenburg but we are a hybrid working place so working partly from home is not an issue.

What you’ll do

  • Harness your expertise in all aspects of CFD , from CAD handling to post-processing and coupling to other codes, to solve complex engineering challenges .

  • Stay ahead of the curve by exploring the latest modeling techniques and features in Simcenter STAR-CCM+ , creating new simulation examples that push the boundaries of what's possible.

  • Share your knowledge and empower clients through training courses and personalized mentoring, helping them unlock the full potential of our software.

  • Showcase the capabilities of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ through captivating product demonstrations , highlighting its applicability across a wide range of engineering applications.

  • Collaborate on benchmark and validation studies to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our solutions.

  • Engage directly with clients to deeply understand their unique challenges and provide tailored support to help them achieve their project goals.

  • Apply your engineering expertise to develop innovative solutions that optimize and improve clients' CAE workflows and results.

  • Inspire and enable the use of automated design space exploration and optimization techniques, driving efficiency and innovation.

  • Share your insights and expertise by presenting our powerful technology at industry seminars and conferences.

What you’ll bring

To excel in this role, you should be a creative, curious and proactive engineer with excellent communication skills. We value your ability to solve complex problems and your passion for leveraging simulation technology to drive engineering excellence.

  • A solid university degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, mathematics or sciences, ideally a MSc or PhD degree in fluid mechanics .

  • Confirmed industrial experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Excellent problem solving & organisational abilities

Nice to have

  • Experience with Simcenter STAR-CCM+ or other CFD codes

  • Understanding of other products in the Simcenter portfolio, such as Simcenter Amesim, Simcenter 3D, or other similar products

  • Familiarity with CAD packages like Siemens NX

  • Proficiency in Java

  • Verbal and written communication skills in a Nordic language
