Description

We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to be a part of our team, based in Modesto, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is pivotal in the accounting sector of our industry. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, including invoice processing, check runs, and vendor statement reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Assure efficient and accurate processing of invoices for weekly check runs and resolve any arising Accounts Payable issues.

• Input invoices, checks, and other related documents into the system, ensuring data accuracy.

• Manage the verification and mailing processes of checks, including expediting special handling when necessary.

• Execute daily processes and controls in alignment with company policies and regulations.

• Allocate expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice expenses.

• Manage vendor payments by resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and maintaining documentation.

• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions.

• Oversee the opening, sorting, and distribution of department mail on a daily basis.

• Handle daily customer deposits and weekly cash reconciliation, coupled with bank deposits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Runs

• Experience in Coding Invoices

• Strong data entry skills

• Proficient in Invoice Processing

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

• Ability to Reconcile Vendor Statements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
