Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and updating technical manuals in support of six (6) aviation assets, the sensors group, headquarters, and ATC Mobile. These will include operators' manuals (assets and sensors), Commandant Instructions, ATC Instructions, as well as processes and procedures within the division. Shall provide Technical Data Support Services to update existing publications. Services provided include but are not limited to: Technical Data Update, Illustration Quality Control, Configuration Management/Doc Control, Illustration Development/Revision, Miscellaneous Graphics Development, Technical Data Issuance/Customer Service, and Publication Distribution Services.
Shall meet or deliver the calculated target date for each assignment. And shall consult with the TOCOR or designee immediately regarding any impending issues which may impact their delivery date or otherwise prevent meeting the terms of this task order.
All hard copy work requests shall be logged into the project management system within one (1) working day upon receipt of request.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years' experience writing aviation technical manuals/documents.
High School Diploma/GED.Experience in the application of Desktop Publishing Software, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel. Arbor Text Editor an asset.
Current and fundamental knowledge and experience of the specified airframe as well as demonstrate an excellent understanding of aviation documentation requirements.
Excellent proficiency in writing, developing, and modifying technical documents, including the guidelines of the current edition of the Government Printing Office Style Manual.
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust (NACI).
