Job Summary:

  • Responsible for all aspects related to the delivery of completed engineering design in accordance to client specification, industry standards and project requirements.

  • Develops and/or leads development of product design drawings and related documentation.

  • Leads design of new and/or non-standardized product packages and develop technical solutions in order to meet the more unusual and/or non-standardized demands of assignments

  • Ensures overall customer requirements are met in line with procedural standards

  • Designs and complex engineering plans and lead the work of others evaluating the effectiveness, safety, and economic impact of designs and developing recommendations to optimize results, as needed.

  • Uses engineering or work related skills to solve technical design related problems; analyzing and interpreting experimental and field data and making recommendations concerning product design, materials, and manufacturing.

  • Manages and adheres to engineering scope budget and schedule.

  • Evaluates the relevant discipline design rules/procedures/standards within Aker Solutions and generate new ideas, tests new techniques, and/or implements new or more effective ways of doing work.

  • Prepares technical data for business development, customers, and publications.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills including advanced selling and/or customer relation skills.

  • Frequently and consistently interfaces with other departments, middle and upper management, and external clients.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical is preferred)

  • 10+ years of technical experience

  • Strong work ethic

  • Technical competency

  • Ability to develop solid working relationships with a variety of people

  • Hands on approach to problem solving

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
