4-H Seasonal Support Staff Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Davison County youth? We are looking to hire a people-centered, strong collaborator who is creative, innovative, and committed to the growth and development of our youth and volunteers. Position Type: Seasonal=mid-May - mid-August. Hours vary up to 30 hours/week average, including some evenings, weekends, and possible overnights. Job Summary: The 4-H Seasonal Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the 4-H Program Assistant in Davison County. This position requires a motivated individual with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to facilitate and enhance 4-H program activities, administration, and outreach. Key Responsibilities:

- - Work with the 4-H Program Assistant in the planning and carrying out of tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to youth development, Fashion Review, Special Foods, Horse Show, Dog Show, public presentations, judging schools, Cloverbuds, 4-H Online and Fair Entry programs. - Coordinate activities and materials for Achievement Days. Complete tasks following Achievement Days to wrap up the event and transition into state fair. Help prepare projects for the SD State Fair and additional state fair event preparation. - Assist with 4-H correspondence. - Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of 4-H principles, values, and programming.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed to events.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
