What You Will Do: The Community Outreach Director is critical in First Circuit CASA's volunteer recruitment and fundraising efforts. In addition to coordinating Annual Fund activities, including digital fundraising, direct mail, and corporate sponsorships, the Director of Community Outreach is instrumental in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting prospective volunteers and major donors. This role focuses on cultivating and retaining volunteers and donors and involves providing regular reports on new volunteer and donor engagement and increasing funds raised to support the organization's vital work.

Essential Job Functions: Duties include Volunteer Recruitment (50%) and Fundraising (50% of Total Duties)

  1. Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Lead the development of comprehensive volunteer recruitment and annual fund plans for all CASA fundraising activities.
    • Oversee the implementation of these plans, including social media volunteer recruitment initiatives.

``` 2. Volunteer Recruitment and Management: - Coordinate the recruitment of volunteers, utilizing various channels, including social media and direct mail solicitations. - Manage the onboarding process and ensure effective volunteer engagement.

Fundraising and Donor Relations: - Secure corporate event sponsorships and cultivate donor relationships within the annual fund. - Research, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, focusing on major gift donors and ensuring personalized stewardship and solicitation activities. - Increase the number of major donors and gift revenue, maintaining accurate donor interaction notes in the database.

Qualifications: Needed: Demonstrated passion for the mission of First Circuit CASA. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in fund development or recruitment. Strong commitment to donor-centric fundraising strategies. Ability to effectively empower volunteers and assign them meaningful roles. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Professional demeanor. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Desired: Previous experience in social services. Additional qualifications in nonprofit management or related fields. Experience with social media marketing and outreach. Familiarity with donor database management software. Experience in event planning and coordination. []{style="font
