Providence Behavioral Health Clinician - Psych and Counseling in Missoula, Montana

This is a combined posting for an Social Worker MSW, Mental Health Counselor Masters, Mental Health Counselor Bachelors, and Social Worker LCSW. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications. To provide a coordinated community outreach and assessment service for the program. To provide crisis assessment and referral for patients in Emergency Departments, Medical Units, Walk-In Clinics, Medical Offices and other settings.

The social worker performs assessment and documentation of presenting problems, social and family history, psychiatric history, mental status, and other information pertinent to the accurate assessment of patient's neurobehavioral problems on the inpatient unit. The social worker may provide individually structured targeted behavioral interventions for inpatients. The social worker provides assessment and documentation, as well as targeted behavioral interventions for outpatients. The social worker is competent with both adult and adolescent populations.

The Counselor shall perform services involving the assessment, planning and implementation of counseling and education services provided on this treatment unit. This position is responsible for assigned patient counseling case management. Position may provide ASAM Level III, II, and I treatment services. The Counselor is responsible for planning and implementation of therapeutic services.

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) functions under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Social Worker and/or Registered Nurse to provide direct care for selected patients. The MHS is expected to demonstrate a basic understanding of contemporary psychosocial principles in relation to their area of responsibility while implementing the delegated tasks of the Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan of Care.

Social Worker LCSW

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field.

  • Upon hire: Montana Clinical Social Worker License

  • 3 years of experience in the behavioral health field.

  • Clinical experience sufficient to perform required assessment services.

Montana : -Min: $31.36, Max: $49.65

Social Worker MSW

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work

  • Upon hire: Montana Clinical Social Worker License

  • 3 years of experience with adult and/or adolescent populations and familiarity with broad range of psychiatric disorders.

Montana: - Min: 29.87 Max: 47.28

Mental Health Counselor Masters

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Professional Counseling Or

  • Bachelor's Degree in Professional Counseling

  • 3 years of experience in similar work structure and level of clinical responsibility.

  • Well developed therapeutic skills, particularly in the area of group therapy. Must perform effectively under stressful patient/counselor therapeutic relationships. Must have writing skills capable of maintaining extensive documentation of case medical files.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Addiction Counseling or Substance abuse experience.

Montana: - Min: 29.87 Max: 47.28

Mental Health Counselor Bachelors

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field Or Education requirement may be waived in the case of an applicant demonstrating exceptional relevant clinical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of recent experience working in an inpatient or outpatient setting with the mentally ill.
