Job Summary:

We are excited to offer a unique teaching opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated educator specializing in Math and Science for students in grades 5 through 12. This role is designed to support students both in a traditional setting and individually in a more personalized, small-room environment, ensuring a focus on their distinct learning needs.

This position is ideal for high school teachers or individuals seeking a relatively lighter workload with a distinctive schedule from 8 AM to 2:30 PM. It spans 10 months, with a competitive salary of $34,000, and is located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support and tailored lesson plans based on the Ontario curriculum in Math and Science for grades 5 to 12.

• Develop supplemental assignments to foster a deeper understanding of the material.

• Offer both remedial and enrichment activities to cater to individual student needs.

• Regularly communicate with parents or guardians to discuss progress and address concerns.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Energetic and passionate about teaching, with prior experience in the education field.

• Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

• Proficient in engaging with students and families and maintaining positive relationships.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers or equivalent qualifications for teaching in Canada or the United States.

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor of education, or significant experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited Canadian institution.
