Insight Global Operations Engineer I in Mississauga, Ontario

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Operations Engineer I to join an enterprise retail company hybrid in either Vancouver or Toronto with 3 days a week on site at the local distribution centers in Delta, BC, or Milton/Mississauga, ON. This individual will be responsible for executing parts of the WMS Manhattan Active implementation to drive the implementation through. You will take direction from the Manager of Operations Engineering and Operations Engineer II, and you will support the Technical Writer with your knowledge of operational and systems processes for documentation. This role is cross-functional, and you will be supporting the gathering, documentation and communication of requirements and expectations across product, technology, and operations teams. Further, you will participate and provide feedback on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback, as well as organize and deliver end user training and hypercare support for implementations. Excellent communication and a willingness to "get in the weeds" on the operation floor are a must.

Skills and Requirements

* SME level knowledge of DC operational and systems processes for documentation

* Experience supporting a Technical Writer

* Able to work cross-functionally for gathering, documentation and communication of requirements and expectations across product, technology, and operations

* Experience participating and providing feedback on User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

* Experience organizing and delivering end user training and hypercare support for large scale systems implementations

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Manhattan or Manhattan Active experience

* Apparel or retail experience

* SQL experience

* Jira experience, TestRail preferred

* Agile or Scrum experience

* Product Management fundamentals expertise

* Technical documentation or technical writing experience null
