The Smurfit Westrock Mississauga Folding (labels) facility is looking for Kirk Rudy Operators (Folder Gluer or Envelope Mailing Equipment Operators) to work with the Finishing team. This position reports to the Lead Hand and is responsible for performing general hand and table work including loading, taking off and packing of finishing machines, operating small finishing machine and performing periodic quality checks.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

• Ability to make machine adjustments in order to maintain machine at safety, quality and production standards.

• Train new employees on all aspects of the job

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Performs minor maintenance and repairs on the small machines.

• Read and follow directions on job tickets.

• Continuously check for quality defects

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience operating a folder gluer or envelope mailing machine.

• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Must have the ability to count and measure.

• Must have basic computer skills.

• Must be able to maintain good attendance.

• Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

Shift Schedule:

Ability to work days, afternoons or nights. Please see below the shift schedule.

• Day Shift (35 hours per week):

• Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

• Friday 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM

• Afternoon Shift (35 hours per week):

• Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 10:30 PM

• Friday 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM

• Night Shift (36 hours per week):

• Monday to Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM

• Off on Fridays
