Job Description
WHAT'S THE JOB?
The Business Systems Analyst, reporting to the Director, Financial Systems, will be responsible for developing and enhancing the Dexterra OneStream framework, translating business requirements into functional designs, and collaborating with the financial systems team on architecture enhancements, design changes and continuous improvement within the application to support the business units. The role also will be responsible for maintaining documentation, managing change and release management processes, providing administrative support for OneStream and integrated systems, facilitating continuous improvement, interfacing with business application users, managing metadata and business rules within OneStream, overseeing testing processes, addressing user requests, and fostering long-term partnerships with business stakeholders.
The Business Systems Analyst has oversight over the following:
Developing and enhancing the OneStream framework, including implementation of new modules
Translating business requirements into functional requirements and design considerations
Collaborating with teams across the business to understand needs, use cases and areas for improvement
Work with operations and other functional stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks and constraints.
Manage change to processes and the application release management processes
Developing and facilitating OneStream training to business users and stakeholders
Provide administrative support for OneStream and integrated systems
Facilitate continuous improvement and collaboration between operations, IT and finance
Interface with business application users at all levels
Own and manage existing reports and new report design, development and report governance framework within OneStream
Support the user intake, administration and access process
Work with the technology provider to understand the technology roadmap and assess the impact to the current version of the platform
Work with external service providers on upgrades, enhancements, testing and updates when necessary
Act as a liaison between the business and technology to ensure business needs are being met and compliant with the technology management and deployment framework
Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to understand their needs, priorities, and concerns.
Must be able to work with a diverse stakeholder group, identify areas of contention and create a shared understanding between the business units and the solution delivery team while maintaining alignment with Business and IT Strategies.
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Undergraduate degree in an applicable discipline
3+ years as a business system analyst with experience implementing and maintenance of IT applications
Experience in a complex service-based company environment involving multiple business units and legal entity structure
Experience with NetSuite and/or OneStream is an asset
Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA) is an asset
Experience with implementation and management of Enterprise Performance Management (“EPM”) system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Superior written communication skills with experience in preparing financial documents, business cases and detailed analysis
Experience working with multiple business lines across a variety of end markets
Focused on details, highly organized and works effectively with shifting priorities
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives
Able to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity and a high level of multitasking
Experience with evaluating and improving policy and processes
