A Day in the Life:

Essential Functions

Client Experience and Relationship Management:

Act as the client advocate and business leader, balancing and driving both clients and Thermo Fisher’s requirements and priorities.

Identify decision structures related to product supply and third-party manufacturing, optimizing business frameworks.

Ensure exceptional service levels are provided and required planning and technical information is exchanged appropriately.

Facilitate regular and ad hoc teleconferences and Business Review meetings.

Ensure compliance with Supply Agreements.

Quotations and Supply Agreements:

Understand the quotations process and prepare commercial services proposals.

Represent site interests in negotiations of technology transfer and Manufacturing Supply Agreements.

Coordinate the generation of quality agreements and assess their commercial impact.

Complete commercial assessments and negotiate quotations for technical changes.

Promote Thermo Fisher and site capabilities through effective internal communication and customer site visits.

Technical Excellence:

Engage with Technology Transfer project teams to ensure 100% on-time launches.

Collaborate with project managers to control tech transfer projects upon validation.

Provide technical solutions to address process robustness or business challenges.

Contribute to new initiatives with Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Participate in process improvement and capital project teams.

Own site projects relating to the customer and follow through to completion.

Financial and Forecast Management:

Ensure accurate representation of client’s monthly forecasts in S&OP process and 3-year planning models.

Assist in developing annual commercial revenue budgets.

Understand changes, risks, and opportunities in demand forecasts and verify congruency of forecasts with contractual commitments.

Request and implement pricing updates to align with MSA terms.

Work with Finance to resolve overdue invoices and understand client’s financial processes.

Implement important achievements outlined in client contracts, including pricing and payment terms.

Maintain and coordinate monthly revenue forecasting from project activities and supplementary services.

Ensure all projects achieve appropriate profit margins through analysis and recommendation of pricing strategies.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • University degree/Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Science, Finance, and/or Business. MBA or equivalent experience desired.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of related experience in project management, account management, sales, or marketing with internal or external client-facing responsibilities required.

Pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing proven experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to influence others and develop mutually helpful solutions.

Adaptability to changing environments and a proactive approach to challenges.

Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Analytical and organizational skills with experience in budgeting and forecasting.

Demonstrated success in leading multiple projects in a customer service environment.

Sound understanding of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) required.
