Job Title: Robotic Welder Operator

Job Description

This position involves working as a robotic welding technician. The individual will be responsible for setting up the weld table, ensuring the welder is programmed correctly, whether from scratch or through minor edits to established programs. Additionally, the role includes troubleshooting the robot in case of faults and maintaining the robot's peak efficiency. The facility has six Fanuc robot cells.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and configure the weld table.

  • Program the welder from scratch or make minor edits to existing programs.

  • Troubleshoot the robot to address any faults.

  • Ensure the robot operates at peak efficiency at all times.

  • Assist in other areas if the robot is not in use, such as removing slag from near-finished parts, putting small bevels on nearly finished parts, or performing TAC welds for the MIG welders.

  • Work with 3/8 inch plated steel and complete multipass welds using the MIG welders.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with robotic welders, including troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read prints and weld symbols.

  • Experience with Fanuc robots.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous MIG welding experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a dirty setting, requiring the use of steel-toed boots, glasses, and a welding hood. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with overtime available before and after shifts. Weekend work is rare.
