Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Medical Physicist Radiology, PhD-BC Works in collaboration with the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) Physics section to assure the equipment and procedures are in compliance with regulations and accrediting bodies governing their use. The individual will develop and maintain policies/procedures, complete risk assessments and acts as a resource to ensure quality results and the safety of our patients and staff.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: PhD degree in Radiological, Medical Physics or related field.

Preferred/Optional: PhD, residency trained.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Two years of practical experience (post training), under appropriate supervision.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification by the American Board of Radiology. Certification must be obtained by the end of one year of employment.

Preferred/Optional: None

Masters Prepared and Board Certified or Eligible are options to fill position as well
