MINOCQUA HEALTH AND REHAB Housekeeper/Laundry Aide in MINOCQUA, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: As a Housekeeper Staff, you play a vital role in our community. You clean the resident rooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas. With a close eye for detail, you ensure quality and deep cleaning for residents\' rooms after discharge and prepare rooms for new admissions. You take great care to enhance safety and sanitary conditions. You live up to the trust of those in your care by complying with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, maintaining knowledge of and following all company policies and procedures. Your WARM and FRIENDLY demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors and your colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS FOR HOUSEKEEPING STAFF Must have ability to follow written and oral instructions. Housekeeping/Laundry experience preferred but not required. A willingness to learn as needed. Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations Desire to work with the elderly Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred but not required. Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers. Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets. Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and fold dried items. Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses. Hang draperies and dust window blinds.
