Vital Images Inc Sales Manager in Minnetonka, Minnesota

The Sales Manager is responsible for expanding Canon s North American customer base by promoting and selling Canon s leading Advanced Visualization and AI Automation portfolio. This role will identify new business opportunities by staying up to date on Medical Imaging Advanced Visualization market dynamics, key players, as well as provider s buying behavior. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement an ambitious yet realistic sales execution plan to acquire new customers and attain the quota target. Develop leads into opportunities, building the active sales funnel through engaging dialogue, email communication, trade shows, onsite meetings, and virtual product demonstrations Maintain a healthy sales pipeline that is reviewed and discussed weekly as the foundation for accurate forecasting to achieve quarterly and annual targets Develop, prepare, and lead sales inbound (e.g. RFP) and outbound opportunities in collaboration with technical and clinical teams Develop and maintain a good knowledge of Canon Imaging Intelligence portfolio and its value propositions. Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with all key-buying influences in each account Develop and deliver customer presentations, generate proposals, prepare sales quotations, plan customer meetings, and demonstrate equipment capabilities on products in assigned territory Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings Close software contract negotiations by interfacing with all of the customer s key buying influencers Maintain satisfactory after-sale relationships and work to develop long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs Develop good working relationships with different functional teams such as Downstream Marketing, Finance, Professional Services, Customer Support, etc. Identify sales support requirements and work with downstream marketing to develop and improve sales tools. Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace Attend industry trade shows as needed This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, communications or a related discipline 5+ years of direct sales experience with a demonstrated quota-attainment track record Experience in Medical Imaging Advanced Visualization sales Experience with Strategic Selling Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills The ability to understand the competitive market and think strategically Highly motivated and driven to achieve sales success Strong communication and negotiation skills JOB COMPETENCIES Adaptability/Flexibility - Adapts to change, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities, handles pressure, adjusts plans to meet changing needs.
