Job Description
The Framing Foreman oversees daily on-site construction activities, typically managing one job site at a time. This role involves leading field staff and subcontracted labor, setting daily and weekly goals, and completing the contracted work. The foreman also serves as the company's field representative, interacting with customers, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and other trades.
Responsibilities
Arrive at the job site and ensure all crew members understand their tasks for the day.
Manage and assist crew leads by laying out framing work and snapping chalk lines.
Coordinate materials and manpower with the Project Manager.
Report the progress of the field crew to the office throughout the day.
Essential Skills
3+ years of experience in wood frame construction.
1+ years of experience leading crews (minimum of 2-3 people) in framing or trim work.
2+ years of experience working with blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layouts.
3+ years of experience using hand tools such as hammers, cat's paws, pry bars, speed squares, utility knives, and chalk lines.
Ability to read tape measures to the nearest inch, half inch, quarter inch, and one-eighth inch marks (one-sixteenth and thirty-second inch marks for trim carpenters).
Ability to perform basic construction, demolition, and cleanup tasks.
Must be willing to lift up to 80 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Holds or is willing to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.
Holds or is willing to obtain HAZCOM Certification.

Work Environment
The work environment includes commercial job sites such as motels, apartment complexes, and living centers, typically new builds.
You will work independently or with one other employee on site.
The dress code includes jeans, company-provided shirts, leather boots, and PPE such as vests, hard hats, and other safety equipment.
The hours are 45 per week, typically from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
You must bring a basic tool belt with hand tools, but no large equipment is required. 95% of the time will be spent working at job sites, and you must be able to work outside in various weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat, and complete tasks promptly while dealing with the public courteously and respectfully.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
