The Senior Coordinator position ensures effective and efficient organization, coordination, and technical support for the marketing and donor services departments. This position works across Thrivent Charitable and Thrivent teams to collaborate on initiatives to improve the experience of those we serve to deliver value. The Senior Coordinate has exceptional relationship skills and can work across teams to provide personal service in support of Thrivent Charitable’s growth plans and annual objectives.

**This position will work a hybrid schedule, working in the Minneapolis office 1-2 times monthly and quarterly, or as expected.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees department processes/procedures with a strong focus on improvement. Collaborates across functions to develop and test new processes or procedures impacting donors. Creates and maintains departmental documentation to ensure that it’s up-to-date and useful including the business continuity plan.

  • Oversees department’s digital file management in Content Server, Teams and SharePoint. Audits compliance to file naming convention, annual compliance review, item numbers, revision dates, location/link and annual archival/retention practices.

  • Develop and maintain donor and FA story database and facilitate requests for content across team and Thrivent. Record FA and donor stories and uses (annual report, Thrivent magazine, newsletters etc.) in database.

  • Liaise with operations and CCP to keep groups informed of mass communications or donor initiatives which could result in large influx of inquiries.

  • Monitor Donor Services and Marketing general mailboxes; answer phone, email and other correspondences and responding to or referring inquires.

  • Prepare and review transactional communications and general correspondence for donors, financial advisors, and other external audiences.

  • Administer VIP/HOH communication deliverables and other field recognition programs.

  • Work through grant agreements, compile information and support grantmaking program administration.

  • Learns Thrivent Charitable communications platforms and performs back up support (email, zoom and website).

  • Support the development and promotion of a variety of standard and episodic donor engagement and marketing programs/initiatives that are based on Thrivent Charitable objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • College degree or an equivalent work experience preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience supporting high volume coordination and complex multi-tasking activities.

  • Experience with heavily detailed coordination of initiatives and programs.

  • Strong technical aptitude with MS Office including Teams and Outlook, with a focus on advanced PowerPoint skills.

  • Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials at all times.

  • High level of organization and hyper attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, great at proofreading – spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Take initiative in problem-solving.

  • Expert prioritization in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating in a matrix organization.

  • Enthusiasm for building relationships and collaborating across teams and functions.

  • Strong ability to interact with all levels in an organization.
