Summary The Technical Illustrator works within the the Engineering Team as an expert in visual and written communication. They are in charge of developing the documents necessary to summarize the information gathered during the display fixture design phase as well as documents to guide the operator(s) on site through processes of display setup and use. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Collaborate with sales, engineering and project management personnel to review information provided by the research and development process Create engineering report documents; ensuring that all information is easily understood, supported by effective visual aids and presented in a format conforming with the PD brand standards Review engineering drawings, parts lists, specifications, mock-ups and production samples in order to fully understand the design and functionality of a given fixture Coordinate the collection of any additional materials (i.e., drawings, renderings, photos, videos, etc.) Collaborate with the other departments involved in the product development and fulfillment process Translates information given into a comprehensive, well organized and easily understood set of assembly and/or installation instructions Work independently on documentation projects, utilizing internal resources for collaboration or review Maintain records using a document control process Proactively communicates project status, challenges and issues Proofread and submit documentation, which is comprehensive, accurate and complies with PD brand standards Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment Follows all safety and workplace policies Education/Certification Prefer 2-year technical degree Experience Strong graphic and industrial design related skills and experience 3+ years of experience producing product related documents and layout design Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting may be required throughout the workday Must be able to wear required Personal Protective
