Location: 330 2nd Ave S Suite 600 Minneapolis, MN 55401 Job Duties: Responsible for performing structural design tasks for industrial facilities. Specific duties include: (1) Evaluating, selecting, and applying structural engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for projects and proposals involving conventional plans, investigations, surveys, steel or concrete structures, cranes, or foundations following instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions; (2) Preparing calculations and design of steel structures or foundations, including material selection, bolts, sizes and welding solutions; (3) Producing, reading, and interpreting reports, calculations, technical drawings, and analysis of industrial special structures, equipment foundation, or small industrial buildings; (4) Reviewing and updating general plant and structural details drawings; (5) Coordinating 3D modeling; (6) Participating in weekly client meetings to track schedule, identify problems, communicate design decisions, and request information; and (7) Performing on-site verification of construction executed by a contractor, including quality control, problem solving, and schedule follow up. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related; 2 years of structural engineering experience, including specific experience with steel structures design and analysis, foundations (concrete) design, cranes, on-site supervision, and AutoCAD or REVIT; knowledge of industry-standard structural analysis program RISA or similar; Fundamentals of Engineering license.
