Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the Financial Services industry, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Staff Accountant, you will be a key player in our accounting team, handling reporting, consolidations, contributing to the month-end close, and analyzing financial reporting. You will also have the chance to work on process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements or other supporting notes and disclosures for SEC reporting process, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

• Collaborate with investor relations and financial planning and analysis in the earnings release process.

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analysis of expenses as part of monthly close and consolidation duties.

• Prepare journal entries in the general ledger system.

• Collaborate with both internal and external auditors, providing necessary support.

• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in the accounting and reporting processes.

• Carry out ad hoc accounting, reporting or financial analysis projects, providing management with insights as requested.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Public Accounting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting,

• Demonstrated experience in Auditing and Financial Statement review

• Solid understanding of Financial Statements preparation and analysis

• Understanding Consolidations and Month End Close processes

• advanced excel skills

• Understanding of the Financial Services industry

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
