RBC Sr. Project Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior Project Manager you plan, direct and coordinate activities of low- to medium-complexity projects to ensure goals, objectives and business value is achieved within the approved timeframe, scope and budget. What will you do? Plan and execute projects with a Low to Medium to High Complexity Factor and a project cost at or greater than $750k. Manage project scope, requirements changes, multiple and competing demands and priorities as well as determine and convey impact on budget, time and risk using appropriate fact-based metrics and assumptions. Work with Business and Technology owners to ensure deliverables achieve the business result that enables value creation. Develop integrated baseline project plans applying estimating models; document estimating assumptions, refine plans and manage performance against them. Determine quality standards and oversee the execution and production of management documents. Engage Technology specific governance processes to ensure IT Risk and compliance due diligence is applied, ensuring project adheres to applicable risk and compliance procedures as relevant to impacts resulting from the change being introduced by the project. Ensure change management processes are embraced by project team members, where applicable, in developing, managing and tracking deliverables for the project. Timely engagement with RBC specific regulatory, compliance, finance, operational risk, supplier management, and other specific local or enterprise wide business processes, as determined by financial implications of the project's costs and the specific impacts of the change being introduced by the project. Set up appropriate governance and oversight of assigned projects. Anticipate and quantify tactical, operational and strategic risks by applying risk-based approach to forecasting. Resolve complex issues and conflicts and escalate to sponsor level where required. Manage project communications including status reports to executives, stakeholders, business units, vendors, project team, etc. Provide senior management with timely, consistent and accurate updates on project issues. Identifies resources and skills required. Promote innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implement best practices. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 5-7 years of progressive project-related experience Experience managing projects with high value (benefit/cost), and complexity or uncertainty Significant proven experience with running scrum teams Strong technical background, experience with systems, processes, development is preferred SCRUM Certified and high proficiency with Agile Nice-to-have Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering PMP certification or equivalent Experience with multiple project methodologies (i.e., Waterfall and Agile) Experience within financial sector is preferred What's in it for you?
