Ameriprise Financial Senior Product Manager, Wealth Management in Minneapolis, Minnesota

"The Senior Product Manager will participate in the development and/or maintenance of advisory product/programs by identifying and working across the organization, vendors and fund partners to create the advisory client experience and resolve advisor/client issues. Supports advisory product/programs as a subject matter expert for projects, initiatives, marketing, sales and ongoing management. Provides research and analysis and makes recommendations to improve product/program features, service, sales, marketing, processes, policies and procedures and/or negotiate with fund partners/vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesServing as the product owner of the end-to-end business architecture for the new Unified Managed Account (UMA) platform.Responsible for Advisory data strategy and analytics for the new UMA platform including supporting critical vendor relationships.Will perform critical oversight functions for Advisory data consumption patterns.Supports the development of the Advisor/Client Experience across the advisory platform.Supports advisory product/programs as a subject matter expert for projects, initiatives, marketing, sales and ongoing management.May act as a business lead on small to medium size projects.Contributes to/drives the requirements and delivery of new products and services through funded initiatives that enhance the client and advisor experience, increase ease of use, meet competitive evolution in the marketplace and/or improve profitability.Seeks to learn and track industry trends for continual advancement and competitiveness.Seeks and drives continuous innovation aligned with the project strategy / road map.Contributes to the Wealth Management Solutions Advisory Platform Investment Optimization (I/O) multi-year enhancement agenda.Successfully manages relationships within the organization and with third-party partners.Leads successful transitions of product development to successful product management processes and procedures.Identifies and recommends changes to policies, procedures, and reporting.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in economics, finance, business or equivalent experience.7+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in the financial services industry. Experience in product development and or product management is highly desirable.Active series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days.Ability to define business design and drive out requirements to support enhancements and/or new development initiatives.Ability to influence and collaborate with or lead across the organization and at all levels to drive results.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, tracking details, highlight accountable.
