RBC Senior Legal/Administrative Assistant in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Summary Job Description What is the opportunity? The person hired into this role will assist attorneys and paralegals with legal tasks and activities to support and protect the organization. With experience, you will develop extensive knowledge of the job and RBC policies and practices and you will perform a wide range of advanced administrative and operational assignments. What will you do? Administrative duties - You will coordinate calendars, travel, invoicing and billing, etc. for RBC WM legal team, provide support in the preparation and production of high quality reports, conference materials and presentations, process outside legal counsel invoices through electronic billing system, and prepare and distribute letters, memos, reports and faxes as directed. Subpoena and levy compliance - You will assure compliance with subpoenas and account levies through monitoring processes, collecting and producing responsive documents as directed, and restricting and unrestricting accounts as directed. Litigation activities - You will maintain litigation calendars, brief/issues banks, other topical files (e.g., re competitors, attorneys, experts, arbitrators/judges), and other lists/schedules as requested. File, database and log maintenance - You will maintain pleadings and other litigation files in up-to-date, indexed manner, keep litigation databases current and accurate, keep logs of open/closed matters, subpoenas and other items. What do you need to succeed? Must-have High School Degree 4-6 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience You must possess excellent organization skills and attention to detail. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple stake-holders. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills You will have experience working in a professional setting Nice-to-have Prior office administration experience. Familiarity with, or interest in, the practice of law. Familiarity with, or interest in, the financial services industry. What's in it for you?
