We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Outsourced Accounting Team. You will work directly with our clients to provide customized accounting services to support them as they manage and grow their business or organization. In this role, you will work independently on assigned client files via remote cloud applications, collaboratively with Outsourced Accounting team members, and be supervised by the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for a variety of accounting and financial services for our clients, including processing transactions, reviewing staff work, complex account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and supporting our clients' existing accounting functions. Crucial to this role is the ability to independently identify problem areas early, research technical issues, and proactively resolve issues as an outsourced member of the clients' accounting services team. All facets of monthly, quarterly, and annual adjusting and closing process. Prepare and independently review client financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger. Prepare and review financial and statistical reports, analyzing unusual items on financial reports and notifying Accounting Manager when necessary. Able to prepare and/or review tax returns, prepare and review payroll tax, and payroll reports in a timely and accurate manner. Assist with projects for audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consulting projects. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of accounting software packages. Gain a thorough understanding of the financial operations of our clients in a variety of industries Basic qualifications: BA/BS degree in accounting or related field required. 3+ years of relative work experience as a Staff or Senior accountant or equivalent. Proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc). Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of accounting software packages. QuickBooks required. Experience or training with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Intacct, Bill.com or others Preferred/Desired qualifications: Prior experience in the Healthcare industry is strong preferred but not required. Strong organization skills/goal orientation/self-motivation. Ability to handle multiple client files and deadlines at one time. Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner. Excellent interpersonal skills. Communication that is clear, concise, and considerate of the needs of others. Ability to work cooperatively with others and value the different contributions people make. Proven success in managing work and key client relationships to exceed client expectations. Abili y to perform in challenging situations in a positive professional manner.
