The developer will be tasked with implementing multiple programs in different languages and software environments, integrating and optimizing data workflows, and evaluating the deployed systems. The end goal will be a data management and processing pipeline to return cancer prediction maps from quantitative MRI to support patient management needs. Other software development tasks will involve active involvement in algorithm development and coding to improve the dissemination of cutting edge methodology developed at the CMRR. Responsibilities Software Development (80%) * Write new code and adapt existing code to implement data analysis algorithms. * Integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows, software systems, and networking. * Test and evaluate system performance. * Document and prepare source code for dissemination. Project Management and Communication (10%) * Interact and report to Principal Investigator and project coinvestigators on project progress. General Responsibilities (10%) * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials. Required Qualifications: * BA/BS degree (in technology, engineering, or mathematics) or combination of related education (in technology, engineering, or mathematics) and relevant work experience to equal at least four years. * Image processing and/or image processing analysis experience * Experience in programming C++, Matlab, and/or Python * Able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing Preferred Qualifications: * Post Baccalaureate Experience in research or engineering disciplines * Experience with Artificial Intelligence methods and applications. * Experience with protocol administration and MRI of human participants * Experience with magnetic resonance imaging and/or spectroscopy data * Experience with design and development of http services and websites * Evidence of contributions to open-source code (github, Matlab central, etc.) * Fluency working in linux shell and source code version management (e.g. git) Benefits Working at the University At the University of Minnesota, you'll find a flexible work environment and supportive colleagues who are interested in lifelong learning.
