Manages panel development and validation activities. Processes samples from patients enrolled in clinical trials and follows study-specific testing plans. Acquires and analyzes CyTOF data according to customer specifications. Recognizes and troubleshoots potential errors or areas of concern. Compiles and reports results and prepares data summaries for customers. Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills. Responsibilities: 40%: Performs testing to support clinical trial correlative research. Processes blood, bone marrow and cryopreserved biospecimens and performs immune monitoring testing (primarily CyTOF testing). 40%: Acquires and analyzes CyTOF data for the lab. Demonstrates proficiency using the Helios Mass Cytometer and various analysis software platforms (Pathsetter, Cytobank FlowJo, Astrolabe). Develops guidelines for data analysis and customizes output for individual customers. Able to recognize and troubleshoot technical errors or equipment-based errors. 15%: Creates and validates CyTOF panels for the lab. Documents which reagents were used, tests on normal donors, compiles data to verify whether panel passes or fails validation test. 5%: Trains new employees, with primary focus on training techs within the CyTOF work group. Informal lead within the work group, ensuring that work load is balanced, all tasks are delegated and work is completed accurately. Has authority to make decisions about scheduling work and/or reassigning tasks when needed. Qualifications All required qualifications must be included in the application materials Required Qualifications: BS/BA and 2 years of related experience or a combination of education and work experience to equal six (6) years.
