Bio-Techne Product Manager Intern in Minneapolis, Minnesota

All internship positions are designed to give college students an opportunity to apply techniques learned in an academic setting while obtaining new skills. This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months.All interns are required to conclude the program by giving a formal presentation on their work. Please note that no relocation assistance is provided for the internship program.

Position Summary:

Operating at the intersection of scientific data management and product marketing, this position is a great opportunity for a college student to gain invaluable experience in Product Management with exposure to a broad range of responsibilities. Projects will mainly include assisting with scientific website and SEO/SEM review and enhancement as well as webpage content review, scientific product and data/pricing analysis.

This is a paid internship offering full-time hours during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with SEO/SEM evaluation of various products as well as marketing pages

  • Review Novus website transition using available analytics and provide recommendations for R&D website transition

  • Review in-progress marketing collateral for corrections and enhancements

  • Review current collateral, including website, for antibody reproducibility messaging

  • Data and pricing analysis

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager, leadership team

Qualifications

Experience Qualifications:

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a declared major in Biology or a Biology-related field

  • Must have completed their sophomore year of college . Some exceptions may apply.

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher . Some exceptions may apply.

  • Must be able to commit to working approximately 40 hours weekly, starting early to mid-June through the midto end of August

  • Relevant technical experience or understanding of antibody techniques, preferably Western Blotting, Microscopy, and/or Flow Cytometry

  • Proficiency in MS office

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • In-depth, applied and theoretical knowledge about the product(s) and marketing of life science products and the scientific marketplace.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in product/customer/sales analysis which will lead to defining successful strategies and managing projects.

  • A passion for the product(s) and company and a deep empathy for the customer and their needs, with the intelligence to combine and integrate various information into opportunities and strategies.

  • Predisposition to a positive attitude, including a firm belief in no excuses.

  • Interpersonal relationship skills, leadership, and decisiveness to solicit key ideas and information and obtain alignment, as well as the confidence to make decisions regarding products and strategies.

  • Ability to work independently and without direction to gain assistance from many in the organization, without direct authority over those individuals, to make the necessary decisions to drive product management projects and requirements.

  • Proficient in planning, organization, problem solving and multi-tasking skills to complete assignments in a timely, efficient manner.

  • Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills allowing the ability to communicate professionally across all layers of the organization as well as customer’s and prospect’s organizations.

  • Proficient in the use of computer applications and software that allow for analysis and presentation of data as well as productivity ( i.e. Microsoft Office, Google Analytics), as well as ability to become proficient in proprietary databases and ERP solutions

  • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality.
