Fulcrum Consulting, an LRS company is seeking a PMO Director for a contract to hire position with our client in Minneapolis, MN

As a Program Management Leader within the Transformation Office, you will play a critical role in driving initiatives that support Growth and Strategy. The PMO leader will play a pivotal role in establishing a team of 8+ program managers, PMO, engaging with senior leaders and executives across the organization to drive top priorities and manage the overall adherence to project management standards across all company (both direct and indirect reports). This role will also be expected to lead high profile and critical work prioritized by executives, engaging team members as needed to support the stabilization of critical efforts. As the PMO leader, you will make significant impact on critical priorities to support the organization in reaching new heights in project management excellence by driving improved quality, outcomes, innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Best Practices:

  • Establish best practice practices for project management methodology and tools that are designed to meet business needs today and into the future as the organization grows.

  • Partner with key areas of the organization to foster co-creation and continuous improvement mentality to optimize processes, tools, metrics and policies to ensure efficiency, quality and business success, inclusive of buy-in and compliance to standards.

Team Leader:

  • Lead team of program and project managers by developing and maintaining the vision, direction, framework and responsibilities of the project mgmt. team members.

Delivery:

  • Lead team members as well as personally deliver critical assignments assigned by C-suite leaders to tackle large problems by analyzing, implementing structure, managing the work and providing to leaders long-term recommendations for solving the root cause problem longer term. This includes working with all levels of leadership, primarily with senior leaders but will engage program/project teams as necessary to deliver critical outcomes.

Crisis Management:

  • Assess the impact of the crisis, activate crisis response, implement emergency measures and develop communication strategy to ensure clear lines of communication around corrective measures to ensure success.

  • Manage, provide guidance and develop clear standards around program and business-related risks, including mitigation planning.

Engagement Model:

  • Build project mgmt. capability to provide project mgmt. services to the organization, inclusive of intake and skillset evaluation to enable the organization to select team members for programs/projects that are meet the needed skills, experience and knowledge to ensure success.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for organizational improvements to drive meaningful changes supporting the organization’s ability to mature, scale and drive innovation and transformation.

Metrics:

  • Establish metrics that form foundation of high performance execution to ensure project health and success of the project.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Ability to lead enterprise-level programs consisting of cross-functional teams with multiple delivery workstreams requiring collaboration and management.

  • Demonstrated project leadership skills with direct responsibility for running project teams, budgeting and scheduling

  • Strong interpersonal skills along with great executive presence (verbal and written)

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment fostering innovation and transformation

  • 4 year degree

  • PMP or Agile experience preferred

  • Third-party candidates will not be considered.
