The Patient Representative promotes M Physicians' philosophy of patient centered care to meet the needs of all visitors and guests by maintaining a welcoming, friendly profile in the clinic and is responsible for the professional and efficient operation of both reception check-in and checkout procedures. The individual in this role would benefit from having exceptional time management and prioritization abilities, exemplary customer service skills, and excellent organization and communication capabilities. Patient Representative Overview Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists with phones and schedules future appointments and/or procedures. Welcomes visitors, provides non-clinical information, collects co-pays, and enters/verifies health insurance information at check-in Oversees the clinic lobby and patient waiting area and ensures it is clean, orderly and inviting Arranges accommodation and/or interpreter services as need needed for the patient visits Resolves non-clinical patient customer service issues Assists with coordinating provider schedules and appointments Improve efficiencies of clinic schedules and to reduce patient waiting times and enhance customer experience Requests/obtains/sends medical records and diagnostic test results from patient visits to other providers as requested Minimum Qualifications: Previous clerical experience in a medical or customer service setting Knowledge of online scheduling and experience with EMR systems Knowledge of basic medical terminology Keyboarding skills of 35 wpm Flexible with assignments and able to perform a wide variety of front desk functions. Location: M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinic - Discovery Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday (1.0 FTE/40 hours per week) with some flexibility requested based on business needs.
