Apply for Job Job ID362116 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilySupplemental Employee Full/Part TimePart-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code0001 Employee ClassCivil Service Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job About the Job Duties: * Assist with the execution of experiments and data collection related to the mechanisms of insect-microbe interactions. * Attend regular lab meetings. * Prepare standard lab media and consumables. * Perform everyday tasks such as laboratory cleaning and replenishing supplies. * Maintain a clean and orderly work environment. * Maintain organized records of experiments, results, samples, protocols, code, and data. Required: * At least one course of High School level biology. * Interest in molecular biology, host-microbe interactions, and learning the Drosophila model. * Ability to build and maintain positive and productive interpersonal relationships with a diverse and dynamic laboratory team, plus other colleagues and collaborators. * Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy, meticulous record-keeping and organizational skills. * Proficiency in Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Ability to adhere to established safety guidelines. * Good hand-eye coordination and ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
