Robert Half Network Engineer in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Description We are seeking a Network Engineer to join our team located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing network systems, maintaining network hardware and software, configuring and deploying devices, and monitoring network performance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid workplace setting.
Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze network systems in a local area network environment
• Maintain and manage Cisco switches and configs, VLANs, IPSec, and firewalls
• Utilize knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Ubiquiti Access Points; Cisco WLCs and Aruba Central and ClearPass
• Configure, deploy and maintain OOBM devices
• Participate in Network Capacity Planning, Performance and Monitoring/Management
• Implement routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and Multi-path BGP
• Handle SSE or SASE products
• Conduct WiFi Audits utilizing an Ekahau device
• Leverage skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Datacenter, Firewall, Network Administration, Network Protocols Requirements
• Candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Network Engineer role or similar
• Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is required
• Must have experience with Aruba
• Must have a thorough understanding of Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and Cisco Technologies
• Knowledge of AB Testing is essential
• Familiarity with Backup Technologies is crucial
• Candidate must have a solid understanding of Computer Hardware
• Experience with Configuration Management is required
• Datacenter skills are necessary
• Must have a deep understanding of Firewall administration
• Experience with Network Administration is required
• Knowledge of Network Protocols is crucial
• Must be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
