In coordination with IT Security and responding to audits and assessments, the person in this position will engage with a variety of business and IT groups throughout the county to ensure that vulnerabilities are resolved in a timely manner. Location and hours: This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). In this position, you will: Lead remediation of vulnerabilities based on prioritized IT Security audit and assessment results. Serve as the technical lead for developing, implementing, and socializing IT operations vulnerability mitigation strategy and on-going efforts, both internally and externally with line of business' (LOB) customers. Develop and execute a repeatable communication plan for vulnerability mitigation efforts, including patching efforts, critical vulnerability information, and risk exception processes. Champion vulnerability mitigation on both IT owned and LOB owned hardware and software with a particular focus on business alignment and buy in when mitigation is requested. Provide mitigation leadership and assistance to the internal team, as well as throughout the organization. Lead coordination with line of business customers and vendors to ensure vulnerability mitigation and lifecycle management. Act as the senior point of escalation, technical advisor, and mentor for team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in IT and lines of business to quickly address critical operating system and software vulnerabilities.
