Job ID360935 LocationAll Other -See Job Description Job FamilySupplemental Employee Full/Part TimePart-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code0001 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job Working Title:Adult Education Culinary Program Associate Supervisor: Adult Education Manager Job Code: 0001 Job Type: Temporary, 67 days Pay: $18.00 JOB DESCRIPTION Schedule, coordinate, and assist volunteers for Adult Education culinary classes. Serve as class facilitator by helping with class setup, welcoming students, taking attendance, some audio visual, distribute and collect evaluations, etc. Assist with class planning and implementation details such as; entering class descriptions in an online database, printing class rosters, gathering class supplies, and others as assigned. Communicate directly with students and guests as necessary. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Some proficiency in using software applications such as Google Drive and Calendar, Zoom, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and others Excellent organizational and communication skills Experience and expertise speaking in front of groups Availability on Saturdays and evenings Successful completion of a Servsafe certification and background check PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in an educational setting Experience in photography, art, literature, culinary arts, and horticulture Restaurant experience a plus About the Department The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a community outreach unit of the University of Minnesota's College of Food, Agriculture and Natural Resource Sciences. The Arboretum is located west of Minneapolis/St Paul and its 1,200 acres traverse the municipalities of Chaska, Chanhassen and Victoria. As a member of the American Public Garden Association and an accredited museum through the American Alliance of Museums, the Arboretum is a tremendous public asset.
