Position is 6 hrs/wk average per semester/summer session, scheduled when student worker and scholars' schedules align, Sun-Sat 8am-10pm. Sessions can be conducted online via zoom or in person depending on scheduling needs for both the student worker and the scholars being served. Hourly Pay: $20/hr Duties/Responsibilities 10%: Function 1 Communicate with BAMD scholars to determine scheduling options and MCAT prep support needs. Review course materials and plan sessions to target scholar individual needs. 80%: Function 2 Conduct enhanced MCAT prep sessions individually and in small groups, online via zoom and in person according to scheduling and support needs. 5%: Function 3 Communicate with BA/MD program staff/team leader with recommendations for individual scholars as needed.. 5%: Function 4 Enter planned MCAT prep sessions on shared google calendar identifying topics covered and scholars served. Enter hours worked into time sheet for payroll and into BAMD recordkeeping form and notify payroll and BAMD staff when completed in order for hours to be approved. Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials Required Qualifications A Grades in STEM courses needed for successful MCAT examination results. UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT MUST BE SUBMITTED for REVIEW. This may include all or some of the following: Basic Chem (Intro to Chem and Chem I and II) Ochem I and II Biochem Calculus I and II Physics I and II Statistics (basic) Psychology (basic) Sociology (basic) Demonstrated ability to help others learn complex STEM and other academic concepts.
