Bio-Techne Manager, Salesforce Product Owner in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Manager, Salesforce Product Owner plays a key role in leading the development and management of our Salesforce platform. Working closely with the global sales teams, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business need and technical execution, ensuring that our Salesforce instance aligns with our overall strategic goals, with a strong focus on driving user adoption. The ideal candidate will thrive collaborating across multiple teams in a dynamic environment where priorities may change frequently and where strong communication and delivery skills are critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product strategy and roadmap

  • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and roadmap for the Salesforce platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-business unit functional sales teams to identify and prioritize business needs.

  • Translate business needs into actionable user stories and backlog items.

  • Continuously analyze user needs and market trends to ensure the product roadmap remains relevant.

  • Agile development

  • Work within an agile development framework to manage the product backlog.

  • Prioritize backlog items based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.

  • Groom backlog items to ensure they are clear, concise, and ready for development.

  • Collaborate closely with the development team throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-up, and sprint reviews.

  • Lead and mentor a team of business analyst to effectively gather requirements and translate them into actionable product enhancements.

  • Stakeholder management

  • Effectively communicate product vision and roadmap.

  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with product goals.

  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate it into product development.

  • Salesforce expertise

  • Possess a strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its capabilities.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Salesforce features and functionality.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce to improve business processes and user experience.

  • Collaborate with the Salesforce architect on platform maintenance and security.

  • Drive user adoption

  • Develop and implement a user adoption strategy for Salesforce.

  • Develop a communication plan to keep users informed about new features and functionality.

  • Monitor user activity and identify areas for improvement in user adoption.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product management or a related field.

  • Proven experience working within an Agile development framework.

  • A strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and its core capabilities.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
