We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join Norton Rose Fulbright's Innovation team as a Legal Technologist. The role of the Legal Technologist is to support and assist the Innovation team by developing customized or configured legal technology solutions for a broad range of projects using various technologies in the Firm's technology stack including document and workflow automation, low code/no code solutions, data visualizationand collaboration dashboards. The Legal Technologist will work closely with our lawyers and other internal stakeholders to understand pain points and identify and implement these tech-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will have practical experience working with technology to improve legal processes and be comfortable working on and maintaining multiple projects at the same. The Legal Technologist must also be experienced with scoping projects and asking the right questions to determine projects goals. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Head of Innovation, US and will work collaboratively with other members of the Innovation team such as the Innovation Manager and Innovation Analysts, as well as across legal teams and with other business services departments, but most also be comfortable working independently to execute on projects.The role may be hybrid/remote in a Firm approved U.S. state. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Working with stakeholders and other members of the Innovation team to gather requirements, scope, plan, and execute on projects, while ensuring proper documentation of the same. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to design and build the most appropriate solutions for our lawyers and business services groups as needed. Leveraging learnings and usage data from previous solutions built to make recommendations on future solutions. Managing document automation projects from conception through delivery and beyond, including making updates and enhancements as needed. Delivering end user training and providing guidance and support to stakeholders on best practices and use of our tools. Staying abreast of legal technology developments in the document automation and low code ecosystem to understand the features, functions and limitations of relevant technology tools. Ensuring solutions are consistent with Firm information governance standards. Working with our stakeholders and the Innovation team to track ROI on our team's solutions and providing statistical information on usage. Skills And Experience Bachelor's degree required. 1-3 years' experience working in a law firm required, preferably within the Innovation, LPM, or KM function. 2-3 years' experience with document automation and low code/no code tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge and understanding of the legal technology landscape, including trends, tools, and industry standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess technology-related challenges and propose effective solutions. Ability to quickly learn new skills and technologies and apply existing knowledge to new problems.
