UnitedHealth Group Associate Grant Manager, UHCCF - Remote in Minneapolis, Minnesota

This role supports UHCCF medical grant operations as an Associate Grant Manager for the UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation (UHCCF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Responsibilities include front line customer service, data entry, meeting facilitation, and interaction with grant families. Additionally, you may provide some support and engagement activities for large scale fundraising events/programs for UHCCF across the country.

This role will challenge you to leverage your broad skills and experience (entrepreneurial, project management, development, operational, relationship-building, creative) in order to shape enhance development and fundraising for UHCCF. Candidates for this role must thrive in a self-starter and hands-on environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Grant application review, ensuring all criteria are met, documents complete, and data entered

  • Providing telephonic and email support to grant managers

  • Providing assistance to the Grant Managers during monthly Regional Board calls

  • Searching for and making initial contact for event families

  • Analysis and data mining of grant demographics and health care costs

  • Support the Net Promoter Score (NPS) data collection, analysis, reporting, and improvement actions

  • Input and retrieve data in Wizehive, Power BI and Blackbaud Systems- support, clean up and maintenance

  • Efficiently and proactively manage project plans facilitate communications in collaboration with key partners, and measure results

  • Support the UHCCF mission, vision, values, strategy and tactics on time and on or below budget

  • Implement strategies that increase event and program participation and revenues

  • Work with strategic partners to promote the UHCCF mission and increase the awareness of UHCCF inside and outside of UnitedHealth Group

  • Communication & customer service: may include handling of written and telephonic inquiries from grant applicants, donors, corporate partners and sponsors, vendors, medical providers, and other stakeholders, presentations to senior UHG leadership, UHCCF national and regional boards

  • Support fundraising & awareness campaigns: including the development, launch, support, and/or participation in existing and new events and campaigns across the country

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of business operations experience in a metrics driven, production environment

  • Has previously worked, or is currently working as a contractor placed at UHG or one of its subsidiaries or affiliates

  • Intermediate or higher-level proficiency in MS Office Suite, (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Ability to travel 1-3 times a year (domestic)

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule (role may require occasional evening / weekends)

  • Location of residence is flexible but must be in a commutable distance of an airport and have access to excellent cell and internet service. Will require the ability to work independently and virtually as a telecommuter

  • Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven effectively network and collaborate. Work productively and effectively in all directions- up, down, sideways, inside and outside-to get great things done. Work within a team, virtually, and in a dynamic, matrixed environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nonprofit experience

  • Power BI experience

  • Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Suite of products for Nonprofits (Financial Edge)

  • Proficient in Access, Visio, Publisher, Canva, Adobe

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
