Description Job Purpose:Assure the integrity of company software applications, usability and functionality. Essential Functions:In order to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and regular attendance is required. Key Responsibilities: Review, analyze, test and document new software applications Participate in projects as the Software representative Consult with users to identify operating procedures and clarify development objectives Define and implement IT quality assurance practice and procedures Provide Tier Two support of company software applications such as Lotus, NextGen and others Create and maintain templates and documents in the electronic medical record Create and maintain Crystal Reports Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs Supervisory Responsibilities:None Qualification Requirements:The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and Experience Requirements:High School diploma or GED is required. College degree in the field of computer science is preferred. 3-5 years experience supporting and/or implementing an Electronic Health Record and/or Practice Management Software system is required. At least 3 years experience with NextGen EPM and EHR is preferred. Expertise on File Maintenance and System Admin preferred, and knowledge of Anesthesia is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Highly self motivated and directed. Working knowledge of: Relational databases and client server concepts. Customer Service Principles. Ability to: Present ideas in user-friendly language. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Multitask and be detail oriented. Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Work independently as well as in a team environment. Work effectively with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee may be required to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals. Employees may be required to travel to other company locations due to staffing and training needs. Working Environment:The working environment described here is representative of the setting which an employee may encounter on the job. While performing the duties of this position,the employee works in an office environment. The employee is exposed to a computer monitor daily. The employee may be required to travel by automobile and exposed to changing weather conditions while performing the duties of this position.
