Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions (a Taylor company) is seeking a Software Developer! This location adheres to the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). All employees must undergo a federal background check, which requires U.S. citizenship. Your Responsibilities: Functional understanding and utilization of support workflow Incident, Problem, and Change Management Creates software applications with input on design to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers Creates test plans and unit tests and executes those for applications Follows code review and testing processes, procedures, and plans Write documentation in code and in issue tracking systems that supports other team members Integrates software components and third-party programs Re-engineers and re-platforms as well as more complex enhancements for existing applications Maintains, fixes and enhances existing software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements and external customers Produces clean, efficient code based on coding standards Follows safe data handling practices and processes Follows secure coding practices Follows Quality guidelines and procedures Performs work in a timely manner Communicates status to stakeholders Participation in mentoring less experienced staff Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead Off hours and on call duties as necessary You Must Have: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent 1-4+ years experience in IT support and/or software development: .NET, C#, SQL, Azure, Jira Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary Strong attention to detail Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude Excellent oral and written communication Establishes and maintains good relationships with internal and external teams We Would Also Prefer: Experience with VB6, OpenText Exstream, Compart, Solimar About Taylor Corporation One of the largest graphics communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provide a diverse set of products, services, and technologies addressing the toughest communication challenges.
